Advancement Manager

Position Summary
The Advancement Manager will be responsible for developing the organizational communications program and will communicate HICARE’s impact to a wide variety of audiences via the written word (brochures, press and newsletter). The ideal candidate will possess a hybrid experience of communications,
donor management, and marketing development to execute all programming and related campaigns and eventually build and manage a team. The Advancement Manager will also be responsible for managing and implementing all development efforts to support the organization's goals and mission and will identify a diversified range of funding sources to ensure long-term income sustainability, including governmental, corporate and private foundations grants as well as being highly efficient in managing our fundraising database, and organizing and implementing special events.
Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborates with the Marketing Team to communicate HiCARE's brand and initiatives efficiently and accurately via many channels.

Develop communication materials (reports, presentation slides, flyers, etc.) for the Executive Leadership team.

Coordinates internal & external communication efforts for org-wide messages and special events, including, but not limited to, legislative advocacy and governmental affairs.

Crafts talking points and develops effective strategies that may include press outreach, op-eds, and innovative media.

Identifies and secures a diversified range of funding sources to ensure long-term income sustainability.

Cultivates potential diversified sources of public and private funding.

Establishes and maintains relationships with prospective donors, foundation and partners’ contacts.

Oversees the management and maintenance of the donor database to include basic donor information, donations, donor acknowledgments, and all associated reporting.

Responsible for ensuring the timely acknowledgment and recognition of donors as appropriate.

Responsible for securing grant funding through active submission of grant proposals and creating timely reports for funded projects.

Conducts analysis of donor database and ensures donations are accurately accounted for and routed to the correct program area in the accounting system.

Manages in-kind donations including tracking, gift acceptance, and gift acknowledgments.

Educational and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Marketing or similar major.

2yrs minimum experience in communications, copywriting and editing.
Hours
-
Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a half-hour lunch break.

Duties may occasionally require after hour work including weekends as needed.
Pay
$65,445 - $69,000/ annual
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
