Development & Outreach Manager

Position Summary

Assumes full responsibility for all aspects of donor development, community education, special events and marketing programs including grant writing and reporting. Works collaboratively with the Clinical Relations Manager & Volunteer Manager as related to community outreach programs, special events and volunteer development.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Plans, organizes, implements and manages the annual giving programs including special events, major gifts and other programs in order to meet funding needs.

  • Works collaboratively with the accounting department related to fund development and events.

  • Responsible for managing public relations as well as researching various groups of stakeholders opinion. Sets measurable goals/objectives and evaluates results annually.

  • Writes and submits funding proposals/grant writing and is responsible for reporting requirements.

  • Responsible to track funding income/expense and operate within development, public relations, and special events budget.

  • Responsible for public education and marketing projects & programs.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of Bachelors degree in business, journalism, public relations or equivalent.

  • Five (5) years paid experience in non-profit fund development, major gifts & public relations.

  • Grant writing experience and working with volunteers.

  • Valid drivers license.

Work Hours:

Monday through Friday during regular business hours with occasional evening & weekend duties as needed to accomplish the goals and objectives of the position.
