Part Time Position

​

Position Summary

• Responsible for resident nurse assessments, plan of care and medication review.  Responsible for assuring safe, efficient, and caring environment according to the mission and facility standards. Excellent communication skills, sound judgement and promotion of cooperative working relationships required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• —Assess residents’ nursing and psychosocial care needs

• —Assures plan of care and interventions are appropriate and effective.

• —Reviews medication administration and treatments monthly with the residents’ medical provider.

• —Communicates with the family regarding the residents’ plan of care.

• —Develops the residents’ plan of care and updates as necessary.

• —Performs treatments, ensures medication accuracy, and notifies the Provider of pertinent information.

• —Assist with the oversight and coordination of day-to-day operations and delivery of excellence in quality care provision.

• —Coordinates daily administrative duties, including scheduled, nursing assignments and resident care.

• —Records residents’ medical records and monitoring vital signs.

• —Assist with the activities of daily living as needed.

Skill & Knowledge Requirements​

• —Demonstrated organizational and critical thinking/analytical skills, detail-orientated, and follow up.

• —Competence with Microsoft Office Suite.

• —Ability to adapt to changing situations on short notice and with ease.

• —Dexterity in handling equipment and instruments.

• —Updates knowledge and skill base through review of relevant literature and attendance at in-service and continuing education programs.

• —Keeps up-to-date on new methods, products, trends, etc. and communicates this information to personnel.

• —Effective interpersonal and communication skills

• —Working knowledge of EEOC regulations, human resource management, benefits management and risk management, as they pertain to health care employees.

• —Possess strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills

• —Excellent emotional intelligence skills.

Educational and Experience Requirements

 

• —BSN required, MSN preferred from an accredited program and licensed in the State of Hawai`i.

• —Two years home health management and five years of leadership experience preferred

​

Hours

• —Part time, flexible schedule. Call duties as scheduled. (May be required to work after hours, holidays and weekends as needed)

​

Pay

• $38.00 -$42.00/hour

• This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
