Bereavement
CARE
Bereavement Care works with both hospice and community families to offer support to anyone who has experienced one or more losses. These losses are not confined to death alone; grief also strikes those who have, for example, gone through a break-up or divorce, lost a job, become alienated from family members, or lost their home.
There is no charge for any bereavement service and programs are open to anyone who has experienced loss.
"You’ve helped me better understand, accept, and move forward. Because of your counseling services, I don’t just exist in this life…I live!"

"My attendance in the bereavement program was life-changing, it helped me heal."
"Camp gives my children a sense of balance, where the questions they hold inside are somewhat answered, being that they meet other families who have lost a loved one also.”
Anyone old enough to love is old enough to grieve.
When children experience the loss of someone close to them it can be overwhelming. Hawai‘i Care Choices offers activities such as one-on-one counseling, age-specific workshops, overnight family camps, and a children’s holiday party, to ensure our keiki are supported during such a difficult time in their lives.
